The X-RING VR Gen2 Rifles exemplify elite rimfire performance. When accuracy, functionality, and consistency are crucial, the redesigned X-RING platform is undeniably capable and reliable. We’ve taken an already proven firearm and made it even better.
Design:
The X-RING Receiver implements an ambidextrous design, interchangeable picatinny optic rails, upgradeable charging handles, and two trigger options. With plenty of color choices and stock variations, there’s an X-RING Rifle that is perfect for you and your shooting style. The new X Ring Gen 2 was developed to incorporate some of the desired features sought by our customer base. We’ve approached this update with concept of modularity, creating a suite of in-house optional parts allowing the customer to configure their rifle to meet their shooting needs.
Starting with the ability to interchange picatinny rails, the shooter now has the ability to select the ideal picatinny rail angle and length which works best with their optic of choice as well as the distance they are shooting.
The picatinny rail is now taller, allowing a wider range of optic mounting systems, including thermal mounting clamp-type systems, monolithic QD mounts, and standard picatinny scope ring mounts.
The next set of design updates was to enhance the ejection of spent cases. This was accomplished by enlarging the ejection port on the right side.
We also wanted to bring back the cover plate on the left side of the receiver. When shooting with a silencer or from the bench, this cover plate will reduce the amount of smoke and fouling emitting from the receiver on the left side for shooters with the charging handle on the right side of the receiver. When usings a left-sided charging handle, this plate is not installed.
On the inside of the receiver, we updated some tooling paths to reduce the number of sharp corners as well as making it easier to service the rifle’s bolt. The bolt has been updated to offer a slightly longer travel during cycling. This will further help the feeding and ejection of ammunition and spent cases when shooting. We also upgraded the charging handle connection to a new D-Shaped mounting hole. This prevents rotation of the charging handle and loosening of the screw. The charging handle was updated in profile, shape, and length.
Finally, we addressed the aesthetics of the receiver by updating the angles and lines, adding in decorative pocketing, deeper bevels around the ejection port, and a new laser engraved font.
Barrel:
With an ultra-lightweight, threaded ½” X 28 aluminum barrel, featuring a chromoly steel bore and 11-degree target crown, the X-RING VR Gen 2 Rifles incorporate accuracy into every shot.

The KRG BRAVO CHASSIS System incorporates the functionality and ergonomics required for precision rifle shooting. The BRAVO stock features an incorporated “backbone” that stabilizes the X-RING platform while simultaneously providing rigidity and confidence. While fully adjustable, the BRAVO Stock System allows shooters to quickly modify length of pull, cheek piece height, and accessory placement. Stock:
Currently our X-RING Rifles utilize Magpul® X-22 Hunter™ stocks, and are available in FDE, Olive Drab, Stealth Grey, and Black. Hogue® OverMolded® stocks are also available in Black, Olive Drab, or Ghillie Green for those who prefer a traditional stock shape and design. Select from a range of standard colors to suit your personal needs or choose from our custom KRYPTEK decorated Magpul stocks.
Receiver:
The interchangeable picatinny rail system with nine different options allows for shooters to select the optimal MOA taper and length to best suit their shooting needs. All X Ring Gen 2 rifles come with a 10 MOA rail. Cleaning and maintenance are made easy with its rear cleaning port, eliminating the need for barrel removal. The noise-dampening bolt buffer ensures quiet operation and mitigates excessive bolt wear. Our proprietary stainless-steel bolt is designed to operate with precision and distribute excessive fouling by means of the top bolt flutes; its dual guide rod recoil operation promotes smooth cyclical cartridge feed and ejection.
