General Questions
We test fire every "Pac-Lite" that we ship with bulk ammo we purchase just like you. However, it must be recognized that many bulk ammunitions often times have inconsistencies that may result in function problems. Some examples of this inconsistency are the thickness of the case rim, bullet deformities, and duds. A different lot number of the same bulk ammo may function completely differently. Back to Top
What is the expected shipping time after my order is processed?
In stock items normally ship within 3 to 5 business days and you will be notified with any applicable tracking information once the package is ready to ship. Back to Top

Pac-Lite Questions
Why do I have to purchase the Pac-Lite barrel from an FFL dealer?
Ruger serializes the upper portion of the .22/45, Mark II and Mark III. Therefore, each of our units, which replace the Ruger uppers, is serialized, considered a firearm, and handled as such. Back to Top
How accurate are the Pac-Lite barrels?
We consistently receive emails, targets, and letters from individuals who are very pleased and surprised by their accuracy. These reported groups average between 1/4 and ½ groups at 25 yards. Back to Top
How is the barrel constructed?
The barrel is machined out of solid aluminum bar, and is lined with a Chrome-moly steel liner. Back to Top
How durable are these units, i.e., how long will my barrel last?
The liner is chrome-moly, and has a standard barrel life. The receiver barrel is aluminum, and its life will depend on individual habits of care and usage. Like every gun they will eventually wear-out. We have had these barrels in several ranges for over a year, shooting 300-600 rounds per week. These barrels are as stable and well-functioning as ever. Is any special care required for this barrel?
Nothing special, just normal care, cleaning, and maintenance. Back to Top
Anodizing and Other Coating Questions
What is anodizing?
Anodizing, or anodising, is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness and density of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. This process is of no use on carbon steel because rust puffs up and flakes off, constantly exposing new metal to corrosion. But on many other metals, anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light. Anodization changes the microscopic texture of the surface and can change the crystal structure of the metal near the surface. Back to Top
Will the anodizing fade?
Anodizing can fade under extremely prolonged and continual exposure to sunlight. Back to Top
How durable is anodizing?
We use a type 2/class 2 anodizing that is known for being quite durable. For instance, blued metal, if consistently rubbed with the same friction and pressure as an anodized metal, would show signs of wear and fading before the anodized unit. Back to Top
Will the anodizing chip?
No, but it will scratch. The finish we have chosen is a durable anodizing (type 2/class 2), but is not to be mistaken as being indestructible. Back to Top
Will the anodizing dent?
No, but the base aluminum can (just like any metal) Back to Top
How do I care for the anodized finish?
Hot water, clean rag, and then pledge. Back to Top
Can I get my Pac-Lite engraved before it is anodized?
When the Pac-Lites are sent to the anodize they are in an unfinished state and are not considered a firearm. Once we engrave the serial number on the Pac-Lite it is considered a firearm and we are unable to send it off to be anodized. Our anodizer does not have a FFL and can not receive a serialized firearm. Back to Top Back to Top
